Bangalore
is also called as garden city and is the capital of the Karnataka, which is
situated at about 1000 meters above sea level; it is known for its salubrious
climate where temperatures remain moderate throughout the year. It is also
known as the Silicon Valley of India because of its position as the nation's
leading IT exporter. It is a hub for India's information technology sector
because of its well-recognized engineering colleges and research institutions.
There are numerous public sector heavy industries, technology companies,
aerospace, telecommunications, and defence organisations located in the
city. Hence most of the students prefer
to take up courses in recognized colleges in Bangalore and settle here mainly
because of major IT- companies situated in the city.
In
India, Bangalore is the engineers’ Mecca. It offers growth, options and a community
of like-minded people hence it is undoubtedly the largest base in terms of IT
companies, opportunities and an existing engineering population.
Seven
out of ten engineering students prefer the city of Bangalore as their first
work place mainly because Bangalore is famous for its IT Hub image and also for
the lifestyle. As per the survey, next best cities are Hyderabad, Delhi,
Chennai and Pune.

Bangalore. The IT industry has two prime elements is IT Services and BPO, and the
growth in the sector assists to growth in the GDP, employment and Exports. Bangalore
is the main centre for Job opportunity for domestic and foreign peoples and hence
it is considered as the leading outsourcing destinations in the world. Recently
the city has become an international centre for software R&D as well.
Bangalore
is top of the mind for many youngsters when it comes to education. With some of
the premier institutions located here and the quality education offered, it has
become a favourite educational destination for students. In Bangalore, there
are many professional colleges which provide various undergraduate i.e. UG and
postgraduate i.e. PG courses namely B.E, B.Tech, MCA, MBA, and M.Tech etc. There
are many multinational companies which are in Bangalore who hire students from
varied professions. Even a lot of industries are there in Bangalore, which
offer good learning experience. As compared to the past, Bangalore has expanded
its IT hub spreading all over the city. Bangalore was a normal city about 10
years ago and the IT sectors varied Bangalore as the main economic centre in
India. Today, Bangalore is recognized as the Silicon Valley of India and leads
33% of Indian IT Exports and the companies based in Bangalore exports IT
services to around the world.
